Two Peaks, One Day Full of Adventure
Set off after breakfast on a full-day adventure with a certified UIMLA mountain guide. You’ll conquer two Tatra peaks – Tupá and Končistá (2,538 m), the highest point of the southern ridge of the High Tatras’ main crest.
📍 Start:
06:00 – Breakfast with a view at Mountain Hotel Popradske Pleso
06:30 – Meeting with your UIMLA guide directly at the mountain hut
🥾 Ascent route:
- Hike through Sedlo pod Ostrvou – your first scenic views of Popradské Pleso
- Continue to Tupá (2,282 m)
- Ridge crossing via Lúčne Sedlo
- Ascent to Končistá (2,538 m) – a majestic panoramic viewpoint over the southern Tatras
- Rest at the summit with breathtaking views of Gerlachovský Peak, Kriváň, Liptov, and Spiš
⬇️ Descent route:
- Return via Lúčne Sedlo and back across Tupá
- Stop at Sedlo pod Ostrvou
- Arrival back at Majláthova Chalet

The minimum number of people to per ascent is 2.
For safety reasons, a helmet is required for the ascent. If needed, it is possible to borrow one at the hotel reception; however, as the number of helmets is limited, we recommend checking availability in advance by phone.

Basic information about the stay
Unless otherwise agreed, the standard cancellation conditions for the stay are as follows:
Low season: January 2 - May 31 and the last Sunday in September - December 28 (except Easter 5.4.-10.4.2023)
- 0% of the price from the date of confirmation of the reservation to 14 days before arrival
- 50% of the price of ordered and confirmed services 13-8 days before the day of arrival
- 100% of the price of ordered and confirmed services 7 days or less before the day of arrival
Top season: 1 June - the last Saturday in September and 29 December - 1 January and Easter 5.4.-10.4.2023
- Cancellation fees when cancelling a reservation are 100% of the price of the stay
Access to the hotel by car is not possible.
The hotel is located in the Tatra National Park in the 5th highest level of nature protection. Only our company vehicles are allowed to enter.
The nearest parking lot is in Popradské Pleso near the bus stop or in the central parking lot in Štrbské Pleso. We provide a transfer from Popradské Pleso (train stop) or from the central parking lot at Štrbské Pleso.
Pets are welcome and we allow them to stay overnight. However, the permit only applies to certain rooms. Our goal is to ensure comfort for our guests, which is why we have restricted rooms where you can stay with your pets.
The fee per animal/night is €25. This fee helps us keep the rooms clean and ready for the next guests. Please inform us about your pet when booking so that we can prepare your accommodation perfectly.
